OAA-Based Speech Recognition Applications

CommandTalk speech interface to LeatherNet, Air Traffic Information System (ATIS)

OAA was used as the underlying architecture for a number of spoken language applications.  In 1995-1997, as part of DARPA's CommandTalk effort, SRI used an OAA-based architecture to add a spoken language interface to a military training simulator.  In 1995, OAA  provided a web-based interface to the ATIS system, for air travel planning.  As part of DARPA's Communicator project in 1998-1999, OAA was used to integrate multiple components to produce an improved spoken language dialog system.
